What this site collects

Nothing. There is no account, no sign up, no comment box, and no form that sends anything to me. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking script. This site sets no cookies.

What the host records

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, it records ordinary request logs: the IP address, the time, the page asked for, and the browser's user agent string. Those logs deliver the pages and defend the site against attack and abuse. An IP address counts as personal data, which is why this page exists. The servers that answer a request may sit outside Türkiye, because the host answers from the location nearest the reader.

The legal basis is legitimate interest: KVKK Article 5(2)(f), and Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR for readers in the European Union. Log retention is the host's own, and I keep no separate copy and no database of readers.

What your browser keeps

One entry, in local storage, holding the text size you chose in the source code viewer. It is set only when you click that control, it never leaves your device, and clearing your browser storage removes it.

Links to other companies

Posts link to other sites, and a post can carry a video from YouTube in its privacy enhanced mode, or from Vimeo. Anything you open there is governed by that company's own privacy policy, not by this one.

Your rights

Under KVKK Article 11 you may ask me:

  • whether I process your personal data;
  • for information about that processing, if I do;
  • the purpose of the processing, and whether the data is used for that purpose;
  • who the data is transferred to, in Türkiye or abroad;
  • to correct data that is incomplete or wrong;
  • to erase or destroy the data, where the law allows it;
  • to report a correction or an erasure to the parties the data went to;
  • to object to a result produced only by automatic analysis;
  • for compensation, where unlawful processing caused you damage.

Readers in the European Union hold the equivalent rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.

Write to ersekbasar@gmail.com. I answer within thirty days. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority of Türkiye, or to the supervisory authority of the country you live in.

İşlenen kişisel veriler ve toplama yöntemi

Bu sitede üyelik, form ve yorum alanı yoktur. Çerez kullanılmaz, analiz veya reklam aracı çalıştırılmaz. Siteyi sunan barındırma hizmeti Cloudflare, her web sunucusu gibi otomatik olarak istek kayıtları tutar: IP adresi, istek zamanı, istenen sayfa ve tarayıcı bilgisi. Veri, sizden doğrudan değil, siteyi görüntülemeniz sırasında otomatik yolla toplanır.

İşleme amacı ve hukuki sebep

Amaç, sayfaların iletilmesi ile sitenin güvenliğinin ve sürekliliğinin sağlanmasıdır. Hukuki sebep, KVKK'nın 5. maddesinin 2. fıkrasının (f) bendindeki meşru menfaattir.

Aktarım

Kayıtlar, barındırma hizmeti sağlayıcısı tarafından tutulur. Bu hizmet isteği okuyucuya en yakın konumdan yanıtladığı için sunucular yurt dışında bulunabilir. Ayrıca bir üçüncü tarafa aktarım yapılmaz, veri satılmaz ve pazarlama amacıyla kullanılmaz.

KVKK 11. madde haklarınız

Kişisel verinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, işlenmişse buna ilişkin bilgi talep etme, işlenme amacını ve amaca uygun kullanılıp kullanılmadığını öğrenme, yurt içinde veya yurt dışında aktarıldığı üçüncü kişileri bilme, eksik veya yanlış işlenmiş ise düzeltilmesini isteme, kanundaki şartlar çerçevesinde silinmesini veya yok edilmesini isteme, düzeltme ve silme işlemlerinin aktarılan taraflara bildirilmesini isteme, yalnızca otomatik sistemlerle analiz edilmesi sonucu aleyhinize bir sonuç çıkmasına itiraz etme ve hukuka aykırı işleme nedeniyle zarara uğramanız hâlinde zararın giderilmesini talep etme haklarına sahipsiniz.
